After Accident, Hollywood Star Struggles
Star of *The Hurt Locker*, *Mission Impossible*, and *Marvel Cinematic Universe*, Jeremy Renner recently discussed his life and work after a near-fatal snowplough accident in January 2023. Renner said he’s ‘terrified’ to act again.

Renner admitted he lacked petrol. “I have so much energy to give this reality, body, and everything else. I can’t play pretend right now. It takes a long time to get here every day so I may think positively, progress, and grow.”
Renner stressed how much effort it takes to be positive and recuperate physically. He has little energy or passion for new acting parts, which require a lot of emotional and physical involvement.
Returning to Work
Renner returned to film the third season of his drama *Mayor of Kingstown* in January 2024 despite his doubts. The actor found it tough and therapeutic. I’m still trying to live in reality. I struggled to cross that line. A far stretch. He said it was hard for him to get over that hurdle mentally.
Renner said that while he could revisit Mike McLusky, he couldn’t play a more demanding or emotionally difficult character at this point. He remarked, “But if it was a very challenging role, I couldn’t have taken it,” referring to his mental and physical recuperation.
